About

Professional summary

I am a data science student and intern with a strong foundation in applied mathematics, financial mathematics, and time series analysis. My background combines quantitative training with practical experience in statistical trend detection and climate data analysis.

I have worked on a project focused on detecting statistical trends in Dominica's monthly climate series from 1990 to 2025. In this work, I engineered monthly climate data pipelines in R and transformed tabular weather records into Base R time-series objects to study long-term trends and seasonal variations.

My technical strengths include R programming, data engineering, wrangling, descriptive statistics, and advanced data visualization. I am comfortable using the tidyverse ecosystem, including dplyr and readxl, and I have experience handling missing values, feature coercion, and specialized data structures such as matrices and ts objects.

I also build analytical summaries and visualizations using ggplot2, including layered plots, reference thresholds, and customized legends and color palettes. I enjoy turning raw data into clear, useful insights that support modeling and decision-making.

My education includes an Associate Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, a BTS from CFA des Métiers de l'Aérien, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Financial Mathematics, and first-year master's studies in Mathematics focused on Modeling and Decision-Making Tools.

I am based in Guadeloupe and speak both English and French natively. My interests include sciences, football, and weight training, and I am looking to continue developing my skills in data science, analytics, and quantitative problem-solving.
