About Me
I am a Data Engineer with experience designing data pipelines, APIs, and scalable data solutions. I enjoy building AI-driven systems that turn complex data into actionable insights and help teams make better decisions.
I currently work in Athens, Greece, where I contribute to the Big Data & Risk Analytics team at Eurobank. My work focuses on building and maintaining ETL workflows, improving platform performance, monitoring data quality, and supporting reliable data processing across Azure and Databricks environments.
I have also worked on AI and analytics initiatives, including NLP pipelines for sentiment analysis, topic modeling, trend detection, and summarization. I have contributed to data integrity assessments, algorithmic impact reviews, and compliance-related AI evaluations, with an emphasis on transparency and responsible AI use.
My background includes experience with Oracle Cloud development, middleware integrations, SQL/PL-SQL backend operations, and data warehouse development. I have supported international rollout projects and collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and scalable technical solutions.
Earlier in my career, I worked in electrical engineering and photovoltaic systems, where I led supervision of large-scale solar installations, coordinated technical teams, and handled customer support and documentation. This experience strengthened my problem-solving, coordination, and operational skills.
I hold an MSc in Data & Web Science from Aristotle University and an Integrated Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same institution. My academic work includes machine learning, web mining, NLP, big data, and distributed data processing, and I have also published research in distributed simulation and green software engineering.

MSc in Data & Web Science
Thesis: Detecting Green Software Engineering Skillsets using TURF Analysis. Studied machine learning algorithms, web mining techniques, natural language processing, big data (Scala, Spark, Hadoop), statistical analysis, distributed data processing, and advanced databases.
Integrated Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Specialized in Computer Engineering and Electronics. Thesis: Systems' Modeling and Implementation by using Machine Learning Techniques for Physical System's Output Prediction.
Experience
Member of the Big Data & Risk Analytics team at Eurobank. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, and Apache Airflow. Build automated data processing solutions, contribute to platform optimization, develop RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Worked on AI Social Listening, NLP pipelines for sentiment analysis, topic modeling, trend detection, and summarization. Delivered real-time dashboards and improved customer insight strategies. Conducted data integrity evaluations and AI compliance reviews.
Developed a scalable MySQL data warehouse with automated XML integration for a national regulatory authority. Contributed to international rollout projects using Oracle Integration Cloud and webMethods middleware. Performed SQL and PL/SQL processing and acted as primary handler of the monitoring platform.
Led supervision of more than 200 photovoltaic systems using telemetry methods. Studied, designed, and implemented new photovoltaic systems, prepared technical reports and documentation, coordinated a technical team of 7 people, and provided customer support.
