I am a Computer Networks and Cybersecurity undergraduate with a strong foundation in network security, system administration, and cybersecurity fundamentals. I am currently pursuing my BSc(Hons) in Computer Network and Cyber Security at Kaatsu International University in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
I have hands-on experience with Wireshark traffic analysis, secure network design, and research related to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) security. My academic and project work has helped me build practical knowledge in intrusion detection, threat analysis, and network defense.
I am comfortable working with Linux, Python, and cybersecurity tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, and Cisco Packet Tracer. I also have exposure to web development, database management, and secure system design through academic projects.
One of my notable projects involved developing a portable Wi-Fi repeater using Arduino and ESP32 to improve wireless coverage and connectivity. I also contributed to a secure online examination system and a research project focused on machine learning-based threat detection for SDN environments.
I am particularly interested in cybersecurity internship opportunities where I can apply my skills in SOC operations, vulnerability analysis, and incident response fundamentals. I am eager to continue learning in a professional environment while contributing to network and security operations.
In addition to my technical background, I bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills. I am a fast learner and communicate effectively in Sinhala and English.
