I have provided technical advice to UNOPS operations and projects located in different latitudes, particularly in ESMS improvement, identification of gaps in the implementation of
A&S safeguards, and in gender/human rights aspects
In my role as an independent consultant, I have developed ESMSs for investment funds (equity/impact); I have reviewed biodiversity credit frameworks and strategies; I have
conducted national/international due diligence processes; I developed the strategy to link/attract the private sector to the GCF private sector window; I designed the scheme/architecture for the Costa Rica Adaptation MRV and I have been an occasional lecturer since 2017 on sustainable finance topics at EAFIT University.
I acted as a climate finance specialist for the UN REDD program, providing support to several countries in LAC, developing, among other things, the architecture of the Paraguay Climate
Change Fund and being part of the structuring team of the Business Alliance to Scale Up Climate Solutions (BASC).
I did work as a co-author of the white paper “Navigating Pollution: A Blueprint for the
Banking Sector” and supported the implementation of FARM Project (Financing Agrochemical
Reduction & Management).
I had the opportunity to lead the team that, among other actions, developed Colombia's first climate finance strategy, incorporated the first climate finance chapter in the BUR, oversaw the CPEIR study, developed the MRV of climate finance, and organized the 2017 international climate finance event.
I developed and implemented the ESMS to guarantee the investment by the IFC; I participated in the A&S evaluation of projects for more than USD 2T; I developed the first
