I have built most of my professional experience as a coordinator, supervisor, inspector, designer, and advisor in contractor operations for Cerrejón, with more than 14 years and 6 months of experience in Occupational Health and Safety and environmental management.
I have developed administrative and supervisory responsibilities in handling loads with mechanical systems, including light and medium equipment, trucks, forklifts in mining environments, as well as preservation and packaging activities.
My work has focused on designing, evaluating, controlling, directing, administering, and advising on SST (Safety and Health at Work) and environmental systems. I have also supported certification processes in RUC, internal and external audits, and documentary and field-based management under OHSAS, RUC, and related standards.
I have knowledge and practical experience in behavioral observation, risk analysis using Cerrejón methodology, safe work at heights, bowtie analysis, AST, and general Cerrejón tools. I also use office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and I have experience in human resources administration and health case analysis.
Throughout my career, I have achieved strong audit results, including four audits from the Colombian Safety Council and a latest CVATSE score of 84%. I have also maintained 100% compliance in SST minimum standards in one of my roles for four consecutive years.
I am experienced in implementing SST management systems under Resolution 0312 of 2019, designing and implementing PESV under Resolution 40595 of 2022, and working with ISO 19001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements. I also have experience managing RESPEL generators, RUA reporting on the IDEAM platform, Colmena Gestión, Power BI, and AI-based tools.
