Microbiologist and English Teacher

I am a Ph.D.-qualified microbiologist with extensive academic research experience in antimicrobial resistance, bacterial genetics, cystic fibrosis lung infections, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. My research has focused on clinically relevant microbiology questions and has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

I hold a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Shahid Beheshti University, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in Microbiology. My doctoral work investigated the relationship between genetic mutations in cystic fibrosis patients and polymorphism in Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from lung infections.

I also have substantial university teaching experience, having taught microbiology courses at Payam-e-Noor University. I am experienced in communicating complex scientific concepts and supporting learners with different academic backgrounds.

Alongside my scientific career, I hold an M.Sc. in English Translation Studies and have worked as an English teacher at various institutions. I have taught children, adolescents, and adults using materials including Evolve, Touchstone, Family and Friends, Got It, Four Corners, and Oxford Word Skills.

My language teaching approach incorporates direct, indirect, interactive, task-based, activity-based, and constructivist methods. I also provide English-to-Persian and Persian-to-English translation services and have advanced English proficiency supported by FCE, CAE, and CPE study at Safir Institute.
