About

Professional summary

I am a Production Support Engineer specializing in payment platforms and high-load distributed systems. I support a nationwide public-transport payment processing platform that handles millions of transactions daily with a 99.9%+ availability target.

I investigate and resolve L2 production incidents across Kubernetes-based, Kafka-integrated microservices. My work includes analyzing logs, metrics, pod states, service connectivity, database behavior, and transaction traffic to identify root causes and coordinate resolution with L3 administrators and DBAs.

I have experience supporting payment flows involving bank cards, NFC devices, and QR codes. I work directly with regional transport operators to isolate issues between platform services and partner systems, ensuring incidents are addressed efficiently across all involved teams.

I automate repetitive operational work with Python and SQL, reducing request-handling time and improving on-call efficiency. I also built a cross-module operation-state checker and Grafana dashboards used by the support team for transaction-flow monitoring and incident triage.

My technical background includes Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, and Git. I am currently expanding my cloud and infrastructure-as-code skills with AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.

I am completing a master's degree focused on high-load information systems, where my thesis explores predictive failure detection for Kubernetes microservices using streaming telemetry, ML inference, failure injection, and load testing.

Career history

Production Support Engineer (Application Systems, L2 On-Call) NSPK — National Payment Card System

I provide L2 on-call support for NSPK's Transport Processing Platform, a nationwide public-transport payment system supporting bank cards, NFC devices, and QR codes. The platform processes millions of transactions daily and operates with a 99.9%+ availability target.

I triage production incidents across Kubernetes-deployed, Kafka-integrated payment microservices by analyzing logs, metrics, pod states, service connections, and database conditions. I coordinate escalations with L3 platform administrators and DBAs, investigate transaction degradation, consumer lag, database contention, long-running queries, and disk-capacity issues.

I work with regional transport operators to determine whether incidents originate in the platform or partner systems and drive remediation across both sides. I handle 30–40 business and carrier requests per shift and automated frequent request types using Python and SQL, reducing typical handling time from 10–20 minutes to 1–3 minutes.

I built a Python cross-module operation-state checker to replace manual API polling during incident triage and created Grafana dashboards for transaction-flow verification using metrics and logs. Both solutions became standard tools for the duty team.
