Production Support Engineer (Application Systems, L2 On-Call) NSPK — National Payment Card System
I provide L2 on-call support for NSPK's Transport Processing Platform, a nationwide public-transport payment system supporting bank cards, NFC devices, and QR codes. The platform processes millions of transactions daily and operates with a 99.9%+ availability target.
I triage production incidents across Kubernetes-deployed, Kafka-integrated payment microservices by analyzing logs, metrics, pod states, service connections, and database conditions. I coordinate escalations with L3 platform administrators and DBAs, investigate transaction degradation, consumer lag, database contention, long-running queries, and disk-capacity issues.
I work with regional transport operators to determine whether incidents originate in the platform or partner systems and drive remediation across both sides. I handle 30–40 business and carrier requests per shift and automated frequent request types using Python and SQL, reducing typical handling time from 10–20 minutes to 1–3 minutes.
I built a Python cross-module operation-state checker to replace manual API polling during incident triage and created Grafana dashboards for transaction-flow verification using metrics and logs. Both solutions became standard tools for the duty team.
