Senior Android Engineer

Designed a robust Android network layer using Retrofit and OkHttp with caching, request deduplication, and dynamic configuration. Built Instagram-style Reels and Stories using ExoPlayer, adaptive streaming, and preloading, contributing to higher user engagement and conversion rates.

Led architecture decisions, migrated legacy modules to layered Clean Architecture and repository abstractions, and introduced feature modularization. Migrated high-traffic XML screens to Jetpack Compose, optimized Gradle and Dynamic Delivery configurations, reduced APK size and build times, and improved feature delivery speed through MVVM and Dagger-Hilt.

Migrated an offline Gradle setup to an online configuration, improving dependency management and the build process. Developed community creation and content reposting capabilities that increased user engagement.

Revamped existing interfaces with ConstraintLayout and custom views to improve responsiveness and user experience. Investigated and fixed memory leaks using LeakCanary and Android Profiler.

Built and published multiple Android applications from initial development through release. Applied Clean Architecture, MVVM, Coroutines, and DiffUtil to develop maintainable application features.

Integrated Razorpay payments for a food delivery application, as well as Google and Facebook login, Zoom SDK, SMS gateway functionality, Firebase push notifications, and Jetpack Navigation Component.
