Senior Java Backend Engineer | Spring Boot | React

I architected and led the end-to-end replacement of OKLA, a legacy Python/PyQt and MongoDB system. The replacement consolidated workflows that had previously been distributed across HubSpot CRM, spreadsheets, and manual processes.

I designed the domain model and built a Java, Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL platform for customers, services, payments, coupons, scheduling, and reporting. I implemented Keycloak authentication and granular RBAC, delivered billing dashboards, WhatsApp/SMS integrations, calendar scheduling, and notifications, and containerized and deployed the solution on premises as the sole technical owner for about 30 internal users.

I develop and maintain academic and administrative applications using Java and Spring backend services with React and TypeScript frontends. I led the Yachayhuasi frontend team through October 2023 before transitioning to backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

I designed authentication and initial frontend architecture for an application delivered under a UNDP project. I also maintain the legacy SIMAURP Java monolith, build reusable Material UI components, and created a schema-driven scaffolding tool that generates entities, controllers, CRUD services, dynamic filters, and standardized exception handling.

I built Flutter applications for passengers and drivers, supporting fare negotiation, booking, availability management, notifications, and trip history.

I also designed and developed a React and TypeScript back-office platform for trip monitoring and operational metrics.

I programmed Arduino devices in C++ for signal conditioning, temperature calculation, and biometric data capture. These devices were integrated with Flutter and React applications for real-time patient telemonitoring.

I delivered metrics visualization and notification features across the mobile and web applications.

I built a financial analytics application using Django and React. The solution included interactive dashboards and charts for presenting financial information.

The project reported a 50% increase in prospective-customer acquisition during its first quarter.

I built Flutter applications for passengers and drivers based on Figma designs. The applications supported the product's mobile workflows and user interfaces.

I implemented predictable state management using Bloc to improve application structure and maintainability.

I taught programming fundamentals to high school students. All instruction was delivered entirely in English.
