Senior Cloud Support / CloudOps Engineer

I lead a team of Senior Cloud Engineers responsible for cloud operations and service reliability across an enterprise multi-cloud environment with a strong Microsoft Azure footprint. I have performed Acting CloudOps Manager responsibilities since January 2026 while holding the official Site Reliability Engineer title.

I oversee Azure operations and multiple AKS clusters, including Kubernetes upgrades, platform maintenance, and implementation best practices. I guide the team’s Kubernetes ecosystem, including Istio, ECK, Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, and Terraform-based infrastructure as code.

I serve as a senior escalation point during critical incidents, leading troubleshooting sessions with cloud providers through technical resolution. I also oversee FinOps activities including Azure Advisor optimization, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cloud invoice review, contributing to reduced monthly cloud spending.

Supported production applications and business-critical platforms, resolving operational anomalies and technical issues with a focus on service availability and timely restoration.

Managed monitoring tools and supporting platforms, performed proactive maintenance, and executed performance measurement activities to improve operational efficiency. Provided technical assistance during platform incidents and supported ongoing reliability activities for systems supporting core business processes.

Operated scheduled and end-of-day system processes, data transfers, backup handling, and operational monitoring for central systems.

Tracked completed and pending operational work to support continuity and reliability of data center processing activities.

Supported the availability, security, maintenance, and administration of servers, operating systems, storage, backup systems, and broader IT infrastructure.

Evaluated, planned, and implemented infrastructure improvements to support institutional technology goals and continuous modernization.

Performed documentation and data processing responsibilities as part of earlier IT experience at INAPA.
