Integrated Amadeus, Sabre, Duffel, and Travelport flight-content providers into an itinerary-generation workflow using React, TypeScript, Django REST Framework, and PostgreSQL. Worked within the Support and UAT squad on QA, bug triage, platform, and backend initiatives.

Diagnosed and resolved Celery throughput bottlenecks in a B2B travel API serving approximately 100,000 requests daily, reducing latency and error rates by removing redundant internal HTTP calls. Built the company's first service extracted from a Django monolith: an AWS Cognito JWT authentication service behind an API Gateway proxy. Also delivered paired C# and Python client SDKs and a React/DRF developer token-generation flow.

Designed a flexible MongoDB Atlas data model that enabled customers to define their own schemas, allowing the product to support multiple use cases without code changes.

Acted as sole owner of the FastAPI backend architecture and AWS/DevOps setup for a five-person pre-release startup. Built CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Docker and ECR workflows, and blue/green deployments on AWS Lightsail. Created a Locust load-testing harness that exercised complete user flows against the backend.

Designed and implemented an end-to-end Chargebee subscription billing integration, owning research, proof of concept, and full production implementation. Built secure account-impersonation tooling for the Customer Success team with scoped access, audit logging, action-level impersonation flags, and persistent consent messaging.

Engineered a daily Celery price-aggregation and alerting system, improving latency by moving price-matching and geographic logic into database queries through the Django ORM. Enforced pytest-based test-driven development to maintain more than 80% backend coverage and mentored four co-op students.

Served as founding engineer for Retriever, an automated advertising product that scraped client inventory and generated and managed display advertising across Facebook, Instagram, and Google. Built Python and Scrapyd scraping microservices processing more than 10,000 inventory items and integrated the Meta Ads and Google Ads APIs.

Built the initial proof of concept independently, covering the scraper, data pipeline, Celery workflow, and Facebook Ads API integration; the outcome supported team growth from two to seven people. Co-designed a Django and Vue role-based access control system with the engineering team.
