Senior Software Engineer

I engineer scalable and high-performance web applications for enterprise clients including HP, Cirrus Aircraft, Quizlet, and Starbucks. My primary stack includes React, TypeScript, Next.js, and component-driven frontend architecture.

I lead accessibility implementation aligned with WCAG 2.1, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and ARIA patterns. I also develop and maintain automated unit and integration testing with Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library, while contributing through peer reviews.

I architected custom extraction and transformation pipelines for a Cirrus Aircraft migration from WordPress to Contentstack and Discourse. I have also extended Shopify storefronts and Discourse platforms through Liquid, Ruby on Rails, Ember, and Handlebars development.

I scaled IT operations from approximately 60 to more than 1,000 endpoints during major organizational growth across headquarters, branch offices, and distributed teams. I managed infrastructure lifecycle planning, systems operations, and enterprise technology governance.

I consolidated 15 physical servers into a high-availability VMware ESXi and vCenter environment with more than 60 virtual machines and redundant SAS storage. I also led the migration of more than 300 users to Microsoft Cloud and Exchange Online, while modernizing identity services from LDAP to Active Directory.

I improved network security through pfSense firewalls, VLAN segmentation, IPsec VPN tunnels, and centralized monitoring with Graylog and Zabbix. I deployed self-hosted GitLab to replace legacy CVS repositories and supported ISO 9001 compliance auditing.

I developed full-stack web systems using PHP, Perl, MySQL, AJAX, Smarty, and custom MVC frameworks. My work included application development, portal administration, and server-side systems supporting environmental and web-hosting platforms.

I maintained user administration and webmail portals for high-volume hosting environments. I also engineered and supported resilient email and directory-service clusters using Postfix, OpenLDAP, FreeBSD, Solaris, and Linux.

I performed 2D and 3D CAD design, production-line installation work, supplier negotiations, and ISO quality auditing for industrial manufacturing environments serving organizations such as Bosch, Volvo, and Siemens. This experience established a strong foundation in physical systems, production processes, and quality discipline.

I also deployed early Linux network servers for proxying, dial-up ISDN, and file sharing, and provided Lotus/IBM enterprise software support and training. These roles marked the beginning of my systems engineering and technical consulting career.
