Director of Cloud Operations / Full-Stack Software Engineer

I lead CloudOps and technology architecture while remaining hands-on with full-stack development, backend engineering, application modernization, deployment, debugging, and production support. The department was renamed from IT to Cloud Operations in 2026, while the scope of responsibility remained substantially unchanged. I also mentor three team members to improve technical capabilities and performance.

I design scalable AWS and hybrid-cloud architectures, improving latency by 32% while strengthening resilience, observability, security, and operational efficiency. I implemented serverless modernization using CloudFront, CloudFront Functions, and Amazon S3, reducing infrastructure costs by 13%, and delivered automation for deployments, provisioning, configuration, reporting, asset processing, archiving, and maintenance across 14 IT projects.

I architected and operated AWS-based cloud infrastructure for highly available enterprise application environments, including databases, storage, networking, monitoring, security, automation, backups, disaster recovery, and failover processes. I led architecture across Integration, QA, Sandbox, Staging, and Production while continuing hands-on development and production troubleshooting.

I built full-stack and backend systems using Go, Python, Node.js, C#, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL. I implemented observability with CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, and Dynatrace; developed deployment and maintenance automation using Go, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible; and provided architectural leadership, technology evaluation, solution reviews, and technical mentoring.

I designed and implemented enterprise web applications and integration services supporting conference, association, and SaaS business workflows. I recommended architectural improvements and created reusable software components to improve database and application performance while supporting systems throughout their full lifecycle.

I developed and maintained highly available production services across Windows and Linux environments. My work covered networking, security, monitoring, deployment, disaster recovery, application development, integration engineering, and operational support.

I designed and developed enterprise software platforms for medical societies, professional associations, and conference-management organizations. I created object-oriented web applications, database-driven systems, integrations, reporting systems, and internal development frameworks across the complete software development lifecycle.

I built client/server and web applications for abstract submission, conference management, content management, and reporting. I also designed database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and application data layers; established reusable architecture patterns; resolved complex production issues; and translated customer business requirements into technical solutions.
