About

Professional summary

I am a Computer Systems Engineer and QA Automation Engineer with around three years of experience in software development, test automation, and process improvement. I have focused on creating reliable, reusable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve testing workflows.

Over the last year and a half, I have worked extensively on mobile application testing for the financial sector. I build and maintain automated functional and regression tests for Android and iOS applications using Appium, WebdriverIO, Mocha, Cucumber, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

I enjoy identifying repetitive tasks and transforming them into practical tools. At ITW, I developed an automation platform that generates executable test scripts from recorded manual flows for mobile and web applications, reducing script creation time to a few minutes.

My experience includes backend development with Python, FastAPI, ASP.NET MVC, REST APIs, MongoDB, and SQL. I have also integrated automation solutions with Jira, Xray, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and reporting workflows to improve traceability and evidence management.

I work with SOLID principles, reusable code, Page Object Model, code reviews, and regression-suite maintenance. I am comfortable translating requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with frontend teams, supporting clients, and training users.

I am actively seeking a QA Automation Engineer or SDET role where I can continue building scalable automation frameworks, deepen my testing expertise, and contribute to high-quality software products.

Career history

SDET ITW

Designed and developed automation tools for the Innovation Team. Built a Python and FastAPI solution that generated functional test scripts from recorded manual flows for mobile applications using Appium, WebdriverIO, and Mocha, as well as web applications using Playwright. Scripts were generated in approximately three to five minutes and remained ready for execution.

Split the framework into scalable microservices for generation, execution, history, and test storage, using MongoDB for history management. Integrated Jira and Xray to upload run reports and evidence, including Word files, PDFs, and videos. Improved visual evidence, resolved iOS video-mixing issues with FFmpeg, designed remote-device test infrastructure, and contributed to an ISO 8583 point-of-sale terminal automation framework. Worked with clients and internal teams to translate requirements, explain services, answer questions, and train users.

Automation QA Engineer ITW

Maintained and repaired existing automated regression scripts for BBVA mobile applications. Investigated failed regression runs, diagnosed issues, and implemented fixes to improve suite reliability.

Created functional tests using Cucumber, JavaScript, and TypeScript, including features, step definitions, waits, reusable Page Objects, and migration work for legacy designs. Applied SOLID principles and reusable-code practices, executed regressions in Jenkins, reviewed logs, tracked work in Jira, and promoted changes through Bitbucket pull requests.

Intern PEMEX

Supported the Management and Evaluation Department in developing an internal ASP.NET MVC application that replaced an Excel-based candidate evaluation process. Implemented the exam workflow, including email distribution through Google Forms and database storage for exams and results.

Automated Excel updates with Python and Pandas by querying the internal platform API using candidate IDs and updating dates. Also supported accounting-control activities for PEMEX stations by analyzing historical sales with SQL queries in Microsoft Access and designing forms to improve records previously maintained in Excel.

Social Service Intern, Diesel Sales Department PEMEX

Completed six months of social service supporting the diesel sales department and accounting-control activities for PEMEX stations.

Analyzed historical sales data through SQL queries in Microsoft Access and designed forms to clean and organize records that had been managed in Excel.
