Senior Process Automation Engineer

I led a self-initiated transformation of First Line of Defence control processes, from identifying unbudgeted operational problems through proof of concept, implementation, rollout, and user adoption. I scaled automated daily, weekly, and monthly controls, reducing processing time by approximately 50% while preserving regulatory traceability.

I built Cockpit, an internal platform where Apache Airflow orchestrates workflows, Python processes Oracle data, and Flask/HTMX interfaces allow teams to validate anomalies, record decisions, and confirm statuses. The platform provides comprehensive audit logging for operations, risk, and compliance users.

I delivered finance-operations tooling, including a trailer-fee billing exceptions system, financial simulator for more than 260,000 transactions, quarterly validation workflow, monthly estimates dashboard, LSEG DataScope/RDP integrations, and PDF dual-signature controls for KYC routing.

I also developed and validated AI prototypes in UAT, including a LangGraph Text-to-SQL agent with read-only guardrails and human approval interrupts, plus an on-premise speech-to-text compliance pipeline using faster-whisper and Mistral 7B. I supported adoption, mentored colleagues, and advised management on open-source strategy, DORA resilience, and vendor exit risk.

I owned and prioritized the backlog for three business-critical applications: AAA, NRTP, and Performance Track. I translated business requirements into actionable specifications and coordinated delivery with IT and business stakeholders.

I analysed production processes to identify friction points, supported the rollout of new features, and drove adoption among end users. My work focused on improving application usability and operational effectiveness.

I served as the key liaison between Portfolio Managers and IT teams for the Triple'A system. I helped evolve the platform to support new investment products and changing regulatory requirements.

I created Excel/VBA tools and delivered walkthroughs, user guides, and hands-on training sessions. These initiatives helped investment teams transition from manual practices to more structured digital workflows.

I worked on the vendor side of asset management software delivery, gaining extensive experience in implementation, functional consulting, and client support. I became Triple'A Application Owner in 2010 and subsequently supported Portfolio Managers in adopting new features at client sites.

I delivered international Triple'A implementations involving reporting, Bloomberg and SWIFT interfaces, and Linux-based data integration using Mercator and shell scripts. I also trained local teams and supported client adoption across multiple locations.
