Senior Backend Engineer

I perform hands-on backend engineering for enterprise systems supporting E.ON's energy platform. I work primarily with the Finance team while also contributing to Core team initiatives.

I develop PHP 8 and Symfony backend services and REST APIs. My work includes resolving production issues involving services, databases, performance, and reliability; reviewing backend designs and code; and selecting practical implementation approaches.

I use MySQL, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Datadog, and New Relic in daily development and production support. I collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers across distributed teams.

I held a combined architecture and hands-on backend role across platforms for international betting operators, including NetBet, Superbet, BetFIRST, and Casino777. I designed and developed PHP backend services using Symfony and Laravel.

I built event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis and worked on CRM, campaign, rewards, bonus, and operational systems. I designed REST and GraphQL APIs, including GraphQL Federation.

I improved MySQL and Percona performance, caching, and platform scalability. I operated services in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes environments and used Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and Loki for operational visibility, while delivering architecture changes that reduced infrastructure and operating costs.

I built internal services and platforms used by Gameloft teams across multiple studios. I developed PHP and Symfony APIs alongside multithreaded Python services.

I also built monitoring, reporting, alerting, and internal automation tools. My responsibilities included improving SQL and backend performance and providing on-call support for production systems.

I built and maintained e-commerce and warehouse integrations supporting operations in Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria. The systems covered inventory, orders, payments, shipping, logistics, and related APIs.

I contributed full-stack engineering expertise while ensuring business integrations and operational workflows remained reliable across regional operations.

I developed client web applications, mobile APIs, and business integrations. My work combined full-stack web development with backend integration responsibilities.

I also created Raspberry Pi and Python kiosk software for client-facing and operational use cases.

I delivered custom business applications, e-commerce websites, automation tools, and software integrations for clients. I used PHP, Python, MySQL, and Linux across varied project requirements.

This work provided broad experience in end-to-end software delivery, backend development, database work, systems integration, and operational problem solving.
