Software Engineer, Azure Proton / Cosmos DB Microsoft
Lead fleet provisioning and capacity planning on the Azure autopilot layer for Cosmos DB. Connect workload benchmarks and regional capacity reserves to provisioning, point-in-time restore migration, recovery demand, customer growth, and regional buildouts across a heterogeneous machine fleet.
Lead point-in-time restore readiness across cross-region and soft-delete validation, migration, certificates, SNI, infrastructure automation, monitoring, performance testing, capacity management, and rollout planning. Architected cross-region replication for an IPv4/IPv6-constrained environment, separating data replication from control messaging and defining regional addressing, DNS identities, and routing behavior.
Own Proton reliability and production readiness, supporting its progression to public preview and customer workloads across eight production regions. Redesigned incident ownership after analyzing more than 120 automation and routing incidents in one week, and established version-controlled troubleshooting guides, on-call SOPs, monitoring practices, and an AI-driven RCAKit tool.
