Senior General QA Engineer

I lead QA activities for web, mobile, backend, and integration modules for clients including Pax8, a global cloud commerce marketplace, and Dreamstage, a high-load live-streaming platform. I design and execute REST API test cases in Postman and Swagger, covering functional correctness, edge cases, authentication, error handling, and data integrity.

For Pax8, I improved regression efficiency by 20% through optimized test documentation and an API-first testing approach. I use Claude Code to identify potentially risky code changes and support Playwright end-to-end automation, while validating all AI output against business rules.

For Dreamstage, I tested web, mobile, Android TV, and iOS TV applications before high-traffic live events, including payment and subscription flows. I introduced daily log monitoring and analysis, reducing time-to-fix for production issues by 40%, and used Jenkins, Kibana, and Honeycomb to investigate CI/CD and microservice issues.

I owned quality assurance for products in The Orchard's global music and media distribution ecosystem. I collaborated with product stakeholders to analyze, clarify, and refine business requirements.

I validated data integrity and financial data using complex SQL queries and planned risk-based regression testing for releases. I also coordinated cross-team integration testing with distributed teams in New York and London.

I performed end-to-end testing for complex modular systems. I analyzed requirements, clarified open questions with stakeholders, and ensured coverage of key product workflows.

I collaborated daily with international development teams to report issues, support release quality, and improve shared understanding of expected system behavior.

I took a planned career break for childcare.

Following this period, I returned to my QA career and continued working in software quality assurance roles.

I owned the QA process for Vakantieveilingen, an e-commerce auction platform, and tested both web and mobile versions of the product. I supported test execution across core user flows and release activities.

I mentored QA team members, defined the team's Definition of Done and quality standards, and communicated directly with international stakeholders.
