Senior Software Engineer

I work on a telemedicine platform for SPMS, the Portuguese Ministry of Health, enabling video consultations between doctors and citizens nationwide. I lead a team of three front-end engineers, own technical design, set code-review standards, and mentor teammates.

I improved real-time communication speed and rendering performance, increasing platform adoption by 30%. The platform supports approximately 14,000 teleconsultations annually and sustains around 1,200 video consultations per month.

I build accessible, data-heavy workflows for clinical and administrative users with React 18, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux, WebRTC, and WebSocket. I also ensure WCAG compliance and address the reliability, performance, and privacy requirements of health data.

I worked on the checkout team at Latin America’s leading e-commerce platform, supporting more than 130,000 stores and R$10 billion in annual transactions. I designed and built scalable checkout flows integrating payments, shipping, order management, and administrative functions.

I owned features end to end, including backlog refinement, technical specifications, implementation, deployment, and post-release metric monitoring. I helped migrate the legacy PHP checkout front end to React and Next.js, decoupling it from the monolith and improving team velocity.

I migrated complex forms from Formik to React Hook Form, managed application communication through backend services and Redux, and improved reliability through unit and integration testing with React Testing Library and Jest.

I delivered both front-end and back-end work in a fast-paced fintech startup, taking full-stack ownership of product features.

I also acted as Product Owner, managing the backlog and making prioritization trade-offs between business objectives and delivery speed. I built front-end features with Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Git as requirements evolved quickly.

I built bespoke, high-performance web interfaces from scratch without pre-built themes.

My work focused on semantic HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript DOM manipulation to create tailored user experiences.
