QA Lead & Automation Engineer

I lead QA coordination for Scotiabank banking technology initiatives, aligning quality objectives, testing milestones, release readiness, and production validation across the software delivery lifecycle. I collaborate with developers, QA engineers, Scrum Masters, engineering leads, product owners, and business stakeholders to communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, dependencies, and release status.

I define test strategies and feature-specific test plans, coordinate production validation testing, regression testing, deployment verification, and post-release checks. I create and execute functional, API, smoke, sanity, regression, and automated tests; maintain Robot Framework suites; manage release evidence in Jira and Confluence; and support incident validation and hotfix testing. I also led QA planning and execution for the multilingual Secret Word project.

I supported functional QA for the DIGITAL FEMSA internal application by designing and executing black-box, functional, sanity, regression, and smoke tests using Gherkin-based scenarios. I produced test plans, test cases, test matrices, test strategies, execution records, and validation evidence.

I validated APIs, data processing, business logic, and system behavior using QMetry, Postman, terminal tools, and DynamoDB-related checks. I tracked defects in Jira, documented findings, retested fixes, and communicated execution status, risks, and blockers within a Scrum delivery environment.

I performed functional, regression, smoke, automation, and performance testing for a Citibanamex financial-sector web application. I migrated existing manual test cases and created new test scenarios using Agile Requirements Designer and ALM.

I designed test-case diagrams, identified test paths, and selected regression coverage based on application risk and requirements. I implemented automated scenarios with Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Gherkin, managed execution and defects in ALM, and analyzed application performance using JMeter and Dynatrace.

I participated in the full testing lifecycle for a Kroger internal web application, including requirements analysis, test strategy, planning, test design, execution, reporting, and defect management. I performed functional, regression, integration, API, automation, load, stress, and scalability testing.

I validated REST services with Postman and Rest Assured and built Selenium automation tests in Java using TestNG, Cucumber, Gherkin, Maven, data-driven techniques, and the Page Object Model. I also created performance scripts, executed load and scalability tests against production objectives and SLAs, and maintained version-controlled test artifacts using Git.
