I am a newly licensed Registered Medical Technologist with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of the Immaculate Conception. I have developed a solid foundation in laboratory procedures, specimen handling, documentation, quality control, and accurate result reporting through clinical rotations in multiple laboratory sections.
I have hands-on clinical exposure in hematology, clinical chemistry, histopathology, immunoserology, blood banking, clinical microscopy, microbiology, and HIV diagnostic testing. I am comfortable working under supervision while following laboratory protocols, biosafety practices, and patient confidentiality requirements.
During my rotations, I performed and assisted with phlebotomy, blood typing, crossmatching, urinalysis, peripheral blood smear preparation, differential counting, culture preparation, Gram staining, routine staining, and slide mounting. I also gained exposure to PCR testing for HIV viral load and automated laboratory machine operation.
I approach laboratory work with precision, professionalism, integrity, and close attention to detail. I understand the importance of reliable results and quality-focused processes in supporting patient care and clinical decision-making.
I am adaptable in clinical settings and work effectively with laboratory teams. I am eager to begin my professional career in a laboratory environment where I can apply my training, continue developing my technical competencies, and contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic services.
I also have research experience, including a study on tetracycline residues in eggs sold in Davao City that was published in a Scopus-indexed journal and recognized as Best in Research.
