About

Professional summary

I am a Software Engineering student at the University of Tripoli, expected to graduate in 2027, and a backend developer focused on building reliable web services.

I develop, test, and maintain REST APIs using Laravel and MySQL. My work includes relational data modeling, authentication, role-based access control, pricing logic, reporting features, and backend debugging.

At Turista, a hotel and apartment booking ERP platform, I contribute to backend services alongside backend, frontend, and QA teammates. I have built revenue-reporting functionality and investigated production issues such as SMTP timeouts, content-type mismatches, and multipart upload failures.

I apply secure coding practices and enjoy identifying root causes rather than only addressing symptoms. I am familiar with unit and feature testing, layered design, prepared statements, and secure file handling.

I also build personal projects, including a barber-booking REST API, a secure file-storage application, and a Java desktop gym-management system. I am a Spanish and Libyan citizen, eligible to work in the EU, and open to relocating within Europe.

Career history

Backend Software Engineer Turista

I develop, test, and maintain REST APIs and backend services for a hotel and apartment booking ERP using Laravel and MySQL. I collaborate with an experienced backend developer, a frontend developer, and QA using Git, GitHub, and Linear.

I built revenue-reporting backend functionality, including role-based viewing permissions, currency fields, chart aggregation endpoints, and ledger relationships. I tested pricing logic for occasion pricing, discount templates, and promo codes, and identified unmentioned schema inconsistencies.

I debug reported issues by reproducing failures and identifying their root causes, including SMTP timeouts exposed as 500 errors, content-type mismatches returning 422 errors, and multipart upload failures.
