I spent five years at Pratilipi, a reading platform serving more than 2 million daily active users across 12 Indian languages. Senior Software Engineer (Android) Pratilipi

Rebuilt the server-driven home feed in Jetpack Compose, migrated XML widgets, optimized widget payloads, removed stale widget types, and deferred secondary API loading. These changes halved p99 home load time and reduced p80 load time by approximately one-third.

Built offline reading and writer-draft synchronization, including downloads, local caching, and timestamp-based local/server reconciliation. Led modularization and a KMP-ready target architecture, migrated writer experiences from Java to Compose, designed GraphQL schemas and JavaScript resolvers, and addressed authentication-layer security issues.

Built international monetization infrastructure for the English app launch in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Delivered multi-currency pricing, region-gated feature flags, locale handling, and RTL support.

Built a coin-based micro-transaction system as a second revenue stream alongside subscriptions. Developed a guest-user journey that deferred sign-in until after the first read and merged anonymous sessions into user accounts at login.

Designed peer gifting through shareable subscription payment links, reaching more than 20,000 users per month as an organic premium-conversion surface. Added unit and integration tests for transaction revamps, continue-reading logic, and OTP verification.
