I am a results-driven Instrumentation and Control Engineer with more than 11 years of experience in railway transportation systems and industrial automation. My expertise includes Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems, Central Clearing House Systems (CCHS), station-level hardware, and end-to-end software deployment.
I currently support the Chennai Metro Rail project, leading the planning, installation, testing, commissioning, configuration, and maintenance of AFC systems. I work with equipment including Automatic Gates, Ticket Vending Machines, Add Value Machines, Ticket Office Machines, ticket readers, and station servers.
I have hands-on experience in software updates, operating system configuration, firmware upgrades, pre-release testing, regression testing, and production deployment. I also maintain station infrastructure, central server nodes, and CCHS hardware to minimize downtime and meet service-level targets.
My work includes technical documentation, acceptance testing, failure analysis, incident reporting, quality assurance, inventory management, and safety compliance. I am experienced in preparing IVR, PAT, SAT, SIT, and service trial documentation.
Earlier in my career, I worked on DCS and PLC-related automation engineering, including I/O schedules, loop diagrams, process data sheets, cable routing layouts, field instrumentation hook-ups, and site engineering audits. I am comfortable coordinating with clients, contractors, operational teams, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
I bring a practical, detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, improving operational reliability, and delivering infrastructure projects according to quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
