Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

I am the sole owner of the AWS estate supporting a remittance platform that processes millions of transactions daily. I designed the AWS architecture, including VPCs, subnets, security boundaries, multi-AZ topology, routing, reusable Terraform modules, remote state, IAM, compute, storage, and database infrastructure.

I operate production EKS workloads using Helm, RBAC, network policies, resource tuning, upgrades, and deployment troubleshooting. I built an end-to-end CI/CD platform with automated builds, security scanning, deployment-time secret injection, deployments, and developer notifications. I also manage PostgreSQL replication, restore testing, and tuning; Amazon MSK event flows; and observability through Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Loki, Grafana, Slack, and PagerDuty. I provide on-call escalation, lead incident reviews, enable self-service provisioning, and optimize AWS costs through tagging and rightsizing.

I operated a hybrid Kubernetes platform for a banking group serving more than ten million customers. The environment included managed AKS in the cloud and self-hosted RKE2 clusters running on RHEL on-premises across four African subsidiaries.

I managed deployments, dynamic scaling, pod disruption budgets, node rotation, incident response, and blameless postmortems across both platform types. I implemented Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Jaeger observability capabilities, reducing high-priority incident resolution time by 50%. I also introduced GitOps with Argo CD, redesigned CI/CD pipelines to reduce deployment cycles by 40%, and created reusable Terraform modules enforcing standardized security and tagging baselines.

I owned AWS infrastructure and software delivery for a mobile and web trading platform, helping the team move from manual deployments to a repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code operating model.

I built the Terraform and CloudFormation foundations, established reusable module standards, and configured VPC networking, subnets, route design, Route 53 DNS, ALB routing, and VPN connectivity. I containerized services and operated EKS clusters, reducing deployment times by 40% and enabling reliable rollback procedures.

I supported Linux infrastructure, configuration management, and CI/CD operations for a growing SaaS platform hosted on AWS. I automated provisioning and deployment across environments by creating and adapting Ansible roles, playbooks, and Chef configurations.

I built and maintained delivery pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI, reducing deployment times by 50% and improving build consistency. I also identified and implemented Amazon EC2, S3, and RDS optimizations that reduced cloud spending by 15% without affecting application performance.
