Aug 2022 - Apr 2023 Lead Credit Risk MI Analyst @ Metrobank

Developed a Collections report using PowerBI, customised for the Product team, that focuses on crucial MI data such as missed payment rates, delinquencies, and bad debt. This report is used by the Product team to monitor the lifetime performance of the bank’s products.

Responsible for distributing the reporting workload on a monthly basis, ensuring fair and equitable distribution, and timely completion of all reports.

Managed the creation of the Risk Overview report for consumer loans, a critical component in monitoring credit risk for personal loans. This involves analysing the performance of the bank’s books and risk models, discussing future strategy changes, and ensuring that the presentation is ready in time, with figures and trends checked for accuracy and clarity.

Conducted a monthly update of the MI report, which includes analysing trends and running a monthly MI performance meeting for the rest of the business, covering new business figures, past loan performance, credit score movements, and other key figures.

Utilised SQL to perform a monthly check of loan figures against key risk metrics. The report is sent to a third party that collects data from 9 other banks and returns analysed, anonymous metrics. The resulting information provides crucial insights into the bank’s risk management compared to the rest of the market.

Gathered requirements for our reporting needs to update our processes and highlight areas for improvement.

Jun 2021 - Aug 2022 Risk Analyst @ IGF

Coordinated the preparations for monthly PRM meetings, which evaluated our largest clients and accounted for 66% of Funds in Use. This was a critical component of IGF’s risk management process.
Conducted weekly reporting on the performance of each Client Manager, tracking over 130 clients and 2,000 reports.

Owned the Risk MI suite and supported IGF’s strategy by providing in depth analysis on our risk metrics and recommending strategy changes.

Led the monitoring of the transition to Gemini, scheduling weekly meetings with Client Managers to track progress. Developed a dashboard specifically for this task and provided regular updates to the Relationship Manager and Operational Risk Manager on project performance.

Implemented a new dashboard and database to track financial covenants, replacing an outdated system with numerous discrepancies. The new system significantly improved our ability to maintain accurate records of past and future changes.

Conducted monthly SAS Risk monitor processes, which included tracking auto-decisioning, bureau report usage, and transaction re-ratings.

Led the project to change the credit bureau provider from Bureau van Dijk to Duns & Bradstreet, resulting in a cost savings of $400k per year. For this achievement, I received the Credit Bureau Risk Team award. This project provided me with a deeper understanding of how decision engines work and the effort required to maintain them.

Developed a model development dataset for GE HealthCare Australia and New Zealand using our IRB approach. I used Python to create a base model that was specific to the healthcare industry in Australia and New Zealand. Utilising the Agile methodology, I conducted weekly sprint meetings to track progress and determine next steps.

Conducted an audit of the old French, Italian, and German systems, producing documentation on them. Since these systems were older and not in English, it required careful analysis to identify any faults.
