Cover letter sample
I am excited to apply for the Technical Product Marketer position at Mirantis. With over 5 years of experience in product marketing for cloud-native and AI infrastructure, I have a proven track record of translating complex technical capabilities into compelling messaging for both engineers and executives.
My background includes developing go-to-market strategies for Kubernetes platforms and AI/ML solutions, creating competitive intelligence assets, and leading content that drives demand. I am particularly drawn to Mirantis's focus on open-source innovation and sovereign AI infrastructure.
I thrive in fast-paced, autonomous environments and am eager to contribute to the k0rdent AI portfolio. Thank you for considering my application.
Sample interview questions
I would compare it to a smart traffic system for AI workloads: Kubernetes dynamically allocates GPU resources to different AI tasks, ensuring that expensive hardware is used efficiently, similar to how air traffic control manages runways. This reduces costs and speeds up AI development.
At my previous company, I created a battlecard against a major competitor. I analyzed their product features, pricing, and customer reviews, then interviewed our sales team to understand top objections. The battlecard included quick comparison tables and scripts, which improved win rates by 15% in the first quarter.
I follow key blogs (e.g., Kubernetes Weekly, The AI Engineer), attend conferences like KubeCon, and participate in open-source community forums. I also subscribe to analyst reports from Gartner and Forrester on AI infrastructure.
I start by defining the target persona and key message. Then I work with subject matter experts to outline technical architecture, use cases, and validation. I write the draft, iterate with feedback from engineering and sales, and design visuals to simplify complex concepts. Finally, I align the release with a demand generation campaign.
I track metrics like content downloads, engagement time, lead generation, and sales feedback. I also conduct win/loss analysis to see if messaging resonates. For example, if a solution brief is cited in closed deals, I consider it successful.
Company Description
Mirantis is the Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company, enabling organizations to build and operate scalable, secure, and sovereign infrastructure for modern AI, machine learning, and data-intensive applications. By combining open source innovation with deep expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, Mirantis empowers platform engineering teams to deliver composable, production-ready developer platforms across any environment—on-premises, in the cloud, at the edge, or in sovereign data centers. As enterprises navigate the growing complexity of AI-driven workloads, Mirantis delivers the automation, GPU orchestration, and policy-driven control needed to manage infrastructure with confidence and agility. Committed to open standards and freedom from lock-in, Mirantis ensures that customers retain full control of their infrastructure strategy.
Job Description
Develop and maintain core positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions for Mirantis’ AI infrastructure and cloud-native platform portfolio.
Translate highly technical product capabilities — GPU cluster orchestration, multi-cluster Kubernetes management, MLOps pipelines — into audience-specific narratives for practitioners, platform engineers, and C-suite buyers.
Own the competitive intelligence function: track competitors including Red Hat OpenShift AI, NVIDIA Base Command, Rancher/SUSE, VMware Tanzu, and emerging AI cloud providers; produce battlecards, comparisons, and win/loss analysis.
Produce a steady cadence of high-quality technical content: solution briefs, white papers, blog posts, use case studies, reference architectures, and demo scripts.
Partner with solution architects and product managers to develop technical content that educates buyers on AI infrastructure patterns, including LLM inference at scale, GPU scheduling, and developer platform self-service.
Support demand generation campaigns with compelling assets aligned to key personas: AI/ML engineers, platform ops teams, and infrastructure decision-makers.
Build and maintain sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, battlecards, objection-handling guides, and ROI frameworks.
Partner with solution architects and sales teams to distill field learnings into sharper messaging and better-targeted content.
Support product launches with go-to-market plans, launch kits, and internal training materials.
Monitor trends across the AI infrastructure, cloud-native, and open-source ecosystems to surface market insights that inform GTM strategy.
Support analyst and media briefings; contribute to Mirantis’ positioning in key industry conversations and reports.
Represent Mirantis’ platform perspective at industry events, webinars, and community forums as a subject matter resource.
