Dear Hiring Team,
I am excited to apply for the IT Administrator role at Kalshi. With experience supporting cloud-based workplace environments, identity platforms, endpoint management, and both macOS and Windows users, I can help build reliable internal systems that enable teams to work effectively.
I bring hands-on capability with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, Intune, JAMF, Exchange Online, and automation using PowerShell or Python. I also value clear documentation, responsive user support, and secure, scalable operational processes.
Kalshi’s ownership-oriented culture and opportunity to shape a greenfield IT environment strongly appeal to me. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team and strengthen the technology foundation behind your mission.
Sample interview questions
I would begin by confirming the user’s identity and assessing the urgency and business impact. I would review sign-in logs, device compliance, conditional-access policies, group memberships, and recent changes in the identity platform, then restore access through the least-privileged and documented path. After resolution, I would document the root cause and adjust controls or automation to reduce recurrence.
I have used PowerShell and Python to standardize repetitive administration, such as onboarding and offboarding, license assignment, group management, device inventory reporting, and compliance checks. I design scripts with logging, error handling, input validation, and a safe testing process before production use. Automation should reduce manual work while preserving auditability and security.
I use a consistent lifecycle that includes identity creation, role-based access, hardware provisioning, endpoint enrollment, required applications, security configuration, and a documented handoff. For offboarding, I prioritize immediate access revocation, session termination, account and device recovery, data retention requirements, and transfer of business ownership. I coordinate with HR, managers, security, and legal as appropriate.
I would establish baseline configurations for encryption, OS patching, endpoint protection, screen-lock policies, local-admin controls, inventory, and compliance monitoring. I would use Intune for Windows and JAMF for macOS, applying policies in phased deployments with pilot users and clear rollback plans. I would also report compliance metrics and address exceptions through a documented approval process.
I would classify requests by business impact, security risk, affected users, and time sensitivity, while setting clear expectations through the ITSM tool. I would resolve urgent incidents quickly, reserve planned focus time for strategic work, and identify repeat tickets that can be eliminated through self-service documentation or automation. Regular communication with stakeholders helps ensure priorities reflect business needs.
Kalshi is defining a new category
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history. Kalshi is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
- Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
