Sample interview questions
I would build a master event calendar with milestone-based project plans, clear owners, budget tracking, and standardized checklists for shipments, booth setup, travel, staffing, and lead capture. I would use a central event playbook and hold regular risk reviews to identify conflicts, deadlines, and contingency needs early.
I define success metrics before the event, including qualified leads, meetings booked, pipeline influenced or generated, cost per lead, conversion rates, and attendee engagement. After the event, I reconcile spend, validate lead quality with Sales, review follow-up performance, and use the findings to improve future event selection and execution.
Before the event, I would agree on lead definitions, required fields, routing rules, and sales-service-level expectations. During and immediately after the event, I would audit lead data quality, upload and assign leads quickly, trigger nurture communications where appropriate, and report on follow-up completion and outcomes.
At a previous event, a key shipment was delayed shortly before booth setup. I contacted the organizer and local suppliers, arranged substitute collateral and equipment, updated onsite staff on the revised plan, and prioritized the elements needed for attendee engagement. The booth opened on time, and I documented the solution in the event playbook for future contingencies.
I would align early on target audiences, event messaging, meeting goals, and follow-up workflows. With Growth Marketing, I would coordinate pre-event invitation and nurture campaigns; with Sales, I would prepare booth staff, establish lead-handling expectations, and review post-event pipeline results together to refine the next programme.
