I would begin by reviewing requirements, architecture, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria with product and engineering. I would create a test pyramid that prioritizes service/API coverage, adds targeted UI journeys, and includes contract, integration, negative-path, and relevant performance tests. I would run the suite in disposable environments with controlled test data and make results visible through CI reporting and observability tooling.
I would correlate the failure with deployment versions, configuration changes, request identifiers, logs, traces, metrics, and database state. I would then reproduce the scenario in an isolated non-production environment using equivalent service versions and sanitized data. Once the cause is validated, I would automate a regression test, document the findings, and work with the owning team on a durable fix and monitoring signal.
I avoid fixed waits and instead use deterministic application-state assertions, stable selectors, isolated data, and clear environment setup and teardown. I keep UI tests focused on critical workflows while moving lower-level behavior to API or component tests. Parallel-safe tests, trace or video artifacts, retry policies used only for diagnostics, and regular removal of flaky tests are also essential.
I have used CI pipelines to build services, provision or target test environments, execute automation, publish artifacts, and enforce quality gates. With Kubernetes and GitOps deployment tools, I verify deployment health, configuration, pod logs, service connectivity, and version compatibility before executing end-to-end scenarios. This enables realistic validation while keeping environments reproducible and short-lived.
I would use LLMs to accelerate draft test plans, generate test ideas, summarize failures, and improve internal knowledge retrieval, while keeping engineers accountable for validation. Inputs should exclude sensitive customer data and follow approved security controls. Generated tests and diagnoses must be reviewed, made deterministic, and evaluated against actual requirements and reliable automated results.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team who has end-to-end ownership to build a quality product. Through automation and functional testing, they validate a variety of products to offer our customers a seamless banking experience. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work directly with our product teams and will participate in application specification reviews and architectural design sessions by providing input from a quality standpoint. You will also identify testing strategies for various features and functionalities. Within your first year, you will develop an understanding of how to deliver high performing software at pace of development. You will work in an environment that promotes ownership at all levels including configuring and monitoring apps in production.
This is a fully remote, long-term contract position open to candidates based in Argentina or Brazil.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop test automation at the pace of feature development utilizing AI tools and our functional and performance test frameworks
- Utilize LLMs to create feature test plans and internal knowledge stores for streamlining AI tools usage for Automation and Deep testing efforts
- Define custom AI workflows to enable all developers to test new features using existing automation tests, evaluate test failures, and troubleshoot environment issues
- Execute functional/performance tests by spinning up disposable environments on demand to deploy microservices with different versions and configurations, and customize database content
- Customize, configure, patch services, and deploy infrastructure and code changes all the way through to production
- Analyze log files and troubleshoot production issues by automating and reproducing them in a non-production environment
- Collaborate with QA platform to create solutions for feature validations and test automation for your product
What We Look For:
- Ability to develop test automation in Java using Selenium/Playwright to utilize Integrated Development environments (IDE) such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, with and without Coding assistants
- Experience in deploying services in various environments such as Kubernetes, using deployment tools like ArgoCD and Jenkins
- Capability to improve efficiency of existing test infrastructure using Docker, Playwright and headless browser executions
- Familiarity with log aggregators such as SumoLogic or Kibana, and app monitoring tools such as Honeycomb or Grafana
- Passion for automating tests and delivering high quality features in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable working in Agile methodology
