Sample interview questions
I would explain how I clarified user and technical requirements, broke the work into deliverable increments, partnered with product and QA, implemented and reviewed the solution, and monitored the release using measurable reliability and adoption outcomes.
I treat security and reliability as design requirements rather than final checks. I use threat modeling, secure coding and review practices, automated tests, observability, and staged releases to identify risk early while maintaining a predictable delivery cadence.
I would outline the incident context, how I used logs, metrics, traces, and recent-change analysis to isolate the cause, how I communicated status to stakeholders, and the corrective and preventive actions taken after restoration.
I contribute to clear story refinement, surface dependencies and risks early, keep work visible, participate constructively in reviews and retrospectives, and focus on delivering small, testable increments that create customer value.
I rely on clear interfaces, peer review, automated unit and integration testing, static analysis, documentation for important decisions, and incremental refactoring. I also prioritize observability and backward-compatible changes so the team can release confidently.
