Sample interview questions
How would you balance revenue growth with the domain’s 65%+ post-time-to-value gross-margin target?

I would establish a deal and delivery governance process that evaluates pricing, staffing, implementation effort, expansion potential, and risk before commitments are made. I would review margin performance by account regularly, act quickly on scope or staffing variance, and partner with sales to prioritize growth that is both strategic and economically sustainable.

Describe how you would improve forecast accuracy across a Space domain portfolio.

I would define consistent stage-exit criteria, inspect pipeline coverage and deal health weekly, and separate committed forecast from upside opportunities. I would combine CRM data with delivery capacity, renewal risk, procurement timing, and executive sponsor input to create a forecast that is transparent and actionable.

How would you address a government customer engagement that is at risk of poor CPAR feedback?

I would immediately establish a recovery plan with clear ownership, milestones, customer communication cadence, and measurable acceptance criteria. I would engage the appropriate executive and delivery leaders early, document progress, remove blockers, and ensure the customer sees consistent improvement before formal performance evaluations.

What is your approach to leading Mission Directors and retaining high-performing teams?

I set clear outcomes and decision rights, provide regular coaching, and use operating metrics to identify workload, capability, and engagement risks early. Retention improves when leaders have adequate staffing, visible career development, timely feedback, and confidence that escalations will be resolved quickly.

How would you align sales, delivery, product, and finance around a major space-domain expansion opportunity?

I would create a shared account plan that defines the customer mission outcome, commercial target, delivery model, product dependencies, investment needs, and margin expectations. Regular executive checkpoints would maintain accountability, surface trade-offs early, and ensure every function is working toward the same measurable outcome.
