Sample interview questions
How have you used product-usage data to reduce churn risk for an account?

I define leading adoption indicators tied to the customer’s desired outcome, monitor them through account-health reporting, and investigate material declines early. I then align stakeholders on a recovery plan with clear actions, owners, and milestones, and review progress regularly until adoption and value realization improve.

Describe your approach to a renewal where the customer is questioning ROI.

I begin by understanding the underlying concern and reviewing usage, outcomes, and stakeholder feedback. I build a business case that connects the platform to agreed metrics such as conversion, retention, or operational efficiency, address any adoption gaps, and present a practical success plan alongside the renewal proposal.

How would you onboard a new enterprise customer to Storyly?

I would start with a discovery session to clarify business goals, target audiences, success metrics, and implementation stakeholders. I would then run dashboard and product workshops, create an initial content and placement plan, establish first-value milestones, and schedule early check-ins to remove blockers and reinforce adoption.

How do you manage a technical escalation while preserving customer confidence?

I acknowledge the impact promptly, clarify the issue and expected business risk, and coordinate internally with Support, Product, and Engineering. I provide the customer with a clear communication cadence, avoid making unverified promises, and close the loop with a resolution summary and prevention steps.

What is your strategy for identifying and pursuing expansion opportunities?

I look for expansion signals in business priorities, product usage patterns, additional teams or markets, and unrealized use cases. I validate the customer’s value case before proposing a targeted solution, involve the right decision-makers, and position expansion as a way to achieve their documented objectives rather than as a standalone sales motion.
