Sample interview questions
How would you approach launching or strengthening Reddit communities for a French-speaking audience?

I would begin with market and community research to identify high-potential topics, existing user behavior, cultural sensitivities, and moderator needs. I would then prioritize a small set of community-building experiments, recruit credible founding moderators and contributors, and establish clear activation and retention KPIs. I would use feedback and performance data to refine the playbook before scaling successful tactics.

Describe a community-led project that produced measurable business impact.

In a strong example, I would explain the initial community problem, the audience insight that shaped the intervention, and how I coordinated stakeholders to execute it. I would quantify outcomes such as active contributors, retention, content creation, moderator recruitment, or conversion improvements. I would also describe what I changed after reviewing qualitative feedback and performance data.

How would you build trust with volunteer moderators while still advancing company growth goals?

I would treat moderators as expert partners rather than simply distribution channels. This means listening to their concerns, communicating decisions transparently, providing practical education and tools, and incorporating their feedback into program design. I would align growth initiatives with community health by defining success measures that include quality, safety, and sustainable moderator workload.

What French-market considerations would influence your community strategy?

I would account for differences in language, humor, current events, online discourse, privacy expectations, and moderation norms. I would also assess France-specific creator ecosystems, topic interests, and potential cultural taboos before proposing campaigns or engagement programs. Localized initiatives should feel native to French internet culture rather than translated from another market.

How do you communicate an experiment's results to cross-functional teams?

I use a concise narrative that connects the hypothesis, target audience, implementation, KPI results, user feedback, and recommended next step. I distinguish between validated findings and open questions, then make a clear recommendation on whether to scale, revise, or stop the initiative. This approach helps partners understand both the evidence and the decision required from them.
