Sample interview questions
I would first baseline conversion rates across targeting, outreach, meetings, qualification, and AE acceptance, segmented by rep, segment, channel, and campaign. I would pair the quantitative review with call and sequence audits, then prioritize a small number of experiments around ICP, messaging, channel mix, and coaching. I would publish clear weekly operating metrics and scale only the experiments that improve qualified-pipeline outcomes.
I would define the ICP and buying committee, map persona-specific pains and triggers, and create coordinated multichannel plays that combine personalized research with scalable automation. Reps would use clear qualification criteria and documented handoff requirements so AEs receive actionable context. I would continuously refine the process using reply quality, meeting-to-opportunity conversion, sales-cycle feedback, and pipeline contribution.
I would diagnose whether the issue is account selection, messaging, channel execution, discovery skill, or qualification discipline rather than treating activity as the answer. We would review recorded calls and outreach examples, agree on one or two observable behavior changes, and establish a short coaching plan with leading indicators. I would provide live practice and regular feedback while holding the rep accountable for measurable improvement.
I would use AI to accelerate account research, identify relevant signals, draft first-pass personalization, summarize calls, and surface coaching insights. Human review would remain essential for strategic accounts, claims validation, voice, and final messaging quality. I would measure AI-assisted programs against control groups using positive replies, qualified meetings, conversion, and AE feedback rather than volume alone.
I would establish shared definitions for qualified meetings, explicit handoff fields, service-level expectations, and a regular feedback cadence. Joint account planning and post-handoff reviews help both teams understand which personas, messages, and signals create real opportunities. I would hold both groups accountable to shared pipeline outcomes, not separate activity metrics.
