Sample interview questions
I would outline the existing constraints, define performance and SEO success metrics, build a phased migration plan, and use automated testing and redirects to minimize risk. I would also explain how I aligned designers, content owners, and stakeholders while measuring Core Web Vitals and conversion outcomes after launch.
I would favor Astro’s island architecture and static generation for content-heavy pages, hydrating only components that require client-side interactivity. On Netlify, I would use preview deployments, edge or serverless functions where appropriate, caching, CI/CD checks, and observability to maintain reliable releases.
I establish reusable design tokens and component patterns, validate layouts at defined breakpoints, and perform visual QA against the source designs. I build semantic HTML first, use keyboard and screen-reader testing, and treat accessible interaction states and contrast requirements as part of the definition of done.
I would model content cleanly, define governance for reusable and localized fields, and use efficient APIs with caching and build-time fetching where possible. For regional delivery, I would support locale-aware routes, hreflang metadata, translation workflows, and validation that prevents incomplete or mismatched localized content from publishing.
I would assess each request by customer and business impact, urgency, implementation risk, dependencies, and effort. I would reserve capacity for reliability and security work, communicate trade-offs transparently, and maintain a visible prioritized backlog with measurable acceptance criteria.
