Sample interview questions
How would you build a success plan for a large enterprise customer adopting a threat intelligence platform?

I would begin by identifying the customer's security priorities, stakeholders, existing workflows, and measurable outcomes. I would then map relevant platform capabilities to use cases such as threat hunting, vulnerability prioritization, incident response, and executive reporting, with milestones, owners, adoption metrics, and regular reviews.

Describe how you would handle an escalation from a strategically important customer.

I would quickly confirm the business impact, technical scope, severity, and required stakeholders. I would establish a clear communication cadence, coordinate internal product and support teams around an action plan, document decisions and progress, and close the loop with the customer through a post-resolution review and prevention plan.

How do you communicate technical security value to executive stakeholders?

I focus on outcomes such as reduced exposure, faster investigation, improved prioritization, and better decision-making rather than feature-level detail. I support the narrative with agreed metrics, relevant threat context, and concise recommendations tied to the organization's strategic risk priorities.

What approach would you use to improve adoption when a customer has purchased modules that are underused?

I would assess usage data, interview key users, and identify whether the barrier is awareness, configuration, workflow fit, skills, or unclear ownership. I would then deliver a targeted enablement and configuration plan, establish practical use cases, and measure progress through adoption and outcome-based checkpoints.

How do you balance multiple customer priorities while maintaining high-quality account management?

I use a structured prioritization model based on customer risk, business impact, renewal health, commitment dates, and escalation severity. I maintain current account plans and notes, communicate trade-offs early, and use recurring operating rhythms to ensure both urgent needs and strategic initiatives receive appropriate attention.
