As a global leader in Intelligent Work Management with a market cap of $10bn, we’ve continued to scale our engineering presence internationally. Since expanding into Bulgaria in October 2024, we’ve grown to a team of 75+ engineers. As we continue expanding into Bulgaria and build our operation, we’re searching for a talented and motivated Engineering Manager. Our business is built on finding exceptional talent and empowering them to build and improve our service offerings.
You will work remotely from Bulgaria and will be reporting to an Engineering Director.
You Will:
- Manage a team of software engineers to deliver great products to our customers
- Oversee the development and success of one or more products
- Lead, coach, and inspire your team to achieve quality software
- Collaborate with partners across the company, including product management, UX, and customer teams
- Establish lean engineering processes that use collaboration and rapid iteration to build the right product for the right problems
- Hire and grow your team by promoting engineering excellence and career development
You Have:
- You have 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years managing software engineering teams.
- You have deep software development skills in at least one systems development language, such as Java, Go, C++, or Python.
- You have experience with modern technology stacks with a passion for building scalable, highly available customer-facing cloud applications.
- You have experience in a technology that you’re personally excited about, such as distributed systems, systems automation, and cloud technologies.
- You like to dive in, learn new things, and want to build outstanding products.
- Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.
