Sample interview questions
I would first confirm the expected funnel definition and compare counts by date, source, campaign, and lifecycle stage. Then I would validate UTM capture, tag firing in GTM, conversion-event configuration, CRM field mappings, and any integration or import logs. I would document the root cause, implement a controlled fix, and monitor reconciliation reporting afterward.
I would map the current intake sources, qualification rules, ownership logic, response-time expectations, and exceptions. Based on that review, I would define clear lifecycle stages, standardized fields, routing workflows, alerts, and SLA reporting. I would test edge cases with sales and marketing stakeholders before deployment and provide documentation for ongoing administration.
I would focus on metrics tied to business decisions: lead volume and quality, conversion rates between lifecycle stages, speed to lead, pipeline creation, source and campaign attribution, cost efficiency where available, and data-quality indicators. The exact KPI set should align with the client's revenue model and agreed definitions. I would also include trend comparisons and drill-down views so leaders can investigate material changes.
A strong approach is to identify a repetitive, rules-based workflow, define quality controls, and test the automation on a limited dataset. For example, AI can help draft standardized data-enrichment summaries or flag incomplete CRM records, while workflow automation routes exceptions to an owner. I would measure time saved and error rates before expanding the process.
I assess each request by business impact, deadline, dependencies, and effort, then make priorities visible in a shared project tracker. I communicate early when trade-offs or timeline changes are needed and break complex work into testable milestones. Regular status updates and clear documentation help maintain stakeholder confidence while preventing important details from being missed.
