Sample interview questions
I would explain the scope, site dependencies, schedule, stakeholder model, risks, and delivery metrics. I would emphasize how I coordinated facilities, network, hardware, and vendors while maintaining an actionable critical path and completing a documented operational handoff.
I would build an integrated dependency plan with clear readiness gates for each subsystem. I would track power and cooling capacity, rack readiness, hardware delivery, cabling, and network validation in a shared schedule, escalating blockers early and using contingency plans for critical-path items.
I maintain a risk register with ownership, probability, impact, mitigation actions, and decision deadlines. I review it routinely with technical and business stakeholders, use schedule buffers where justified, and convert emerging issues into tracked actions before they affect site milestones.
I tailor communication to the audience: engineering teams receive detailed dependency, issue, and action tracking, while executives receive concise milestone status, major risks, decisions needed, and forecast impact. In both cases, I make ownership and next steps explicit.
I would validate the revised delivery date and identify the impacted critical-path activities immediately. Then I would assess alternatives such as inventory reallocation, phased deployment, approved substitute equipment, or resequencing work, present the trade-offs to decision-makers, and update stakeholders with a recovery plan.
