Sample interview questions
I establish clear health metrics, segment accounts by risk and opportunity, and run regular portfolio reviews with CSMs. I pair proactive executive engagement and success plans with measurable adoption milestones, then coordinate targeted interventions with Product and Sales when risk indicators emerge.
I set explicit expectations for customer outcomes, operating cadence, and account ownership while providing regular coaching based on call reviews, portfolio data, and individual development goals. I also create shared playbooks so strong practices can be consistently applied across the team.
I would track gross and net retention, renewal forecast accuracy, product adoption, time to value, customer-health trends, risk resolution time, executive engagement, and expansion pipeline influenced by Customer Success. I would use these measures at both individual and segment levels to guide action.
I would first align stakeholders on the customer’s business objectives, documented risks, adoption data, and decision timeline. I would then build a joint recovery plan with named owners, executive sponsorship where appropriate, clear milestones, and a regular internal and customer-facing communication cadence.
I would identify repeatable moments in the customer journey and standardize them through playbooks, lifecycle programs, automation, and consistent reporting. High-touch capacity would be reserved for strategic decisions, complex technical adoption, and material risk or growth opportunities, while digital and pooled programs support routine needs.
