Sample interview questions
How do you prioritize a SaaS renewal portfolio with contracts expiring at different times?

I segment accounts by renewal date, annual contract value, health indicators, risk level, and expansion potential. I establish a structured cadence for outreach and internal reviews, starting high-value or at-risk renewals early, and keep Salesforce records current so next actions and forecasts are visible.

Describe how you would handle a customer who challenges a renewal price increase.

I would first understand the customer's concerns, budget context, usage, and desired outcomes. I would then clearly explain the contractual and product value drivers, explore approved options with internal stakeholders, and present a solution that protects the relationship and recurring revenue while following pricing and approval policies.

What makes a renewal forecast reliable?

A reliable forecast is based on verified customer engagement, documented decision processes, contract terms, product usage or health information, commercial risks, and clear next steps. I distinguish confirmed renewals from assumptions, record risks transparently, and update the forecast promptly when customer circumstances change.

How do you maintain accuracy when reviewing contracts, pricing, and quotes?

I use a consistent checklist covering contract dates, products, quantities, pricing, terms, amendments, approvals, and customer billing details. I reconcile information across the CRM and source documents, validate exceptions with the appropriate teams, and perform a final review before sending a quote.

Tell us how you collaborate with internal teams during a complex renewal.

I align early with customer success, sales, finance, legal, and support on account health, customer objectives, commercial terms, and ownership of next steps. I keep communication concise and documented, lead working sessions when needed, and ensure the customer receives one coordinated message throughout the renewal process.
