Sample interview questions
How would you handle a French-speaking customer who is upset about a missing grocery item?

I would acknowledge the customer’s frustration, confirm the order details, and investigate the order history and available evidence. I would clearly explain the applicable resolution in French, complete the appropriate workflow, and document the interaction so any follow-up team has full context.

Describe how you prioritize quality while handling back-to-back live contacts.

I use the established workflow and knowledge base to stay efficient without rushing the customer. I verify key account and order details, summarize next steps clearly, and enter concise notes immediately after each interaction to maintain accuracy.

What would you do if a customer issue falls outside documented policy?

I would gather all relevant facts, explain to the customer that I am reviewing the best next step, and follow the designated escalation path. My transfer ticket would include the issue, actions already taken, relevant history, and the specific question requiring review.

How have you identified a recurring customer pain point?

I look for repeated contact reasons, confusing workflow steps, or similar customer feedback across cases. I would document examples and impact, then share a specific, actionable recommendation with my supervisor or the appropriate operations team.

How do you adapt your communication between phone, chat, and email support?

On the phone, I use a calm tone and confirm understanding in real time. In chat, I keep messages concise and paced for quick interaction; in email, I provide a structured explanation with complete next steps. In every channel, I adapt my language and level of detail to the customer while keeping documentation accurate.
