Sample interview questions
I would combine platform and attribution reporting with a controlled incrementality approach, such as geo holdouts or audience-based test-and-control groups. I would define success metrics in advance, monitor statistical confidence, and compare incremental conversions or revenue against the channel’s spend and reach.
I would first validate delivery, tracking, audience setup, creative rotation, frequency, and placement quality. I would then identify the primary issue, test focused changes such as audience exclusions, bid adjustments, creative refreshes, or inventory changes, and document the expected impact before reallocating budget.
I translate the objective into measurable outcomes, target audiences, budget constraints, timing, and channel hypotheses. I then recommend a channel mix based on reach, expected efficiency, creative suitability, and measurement feasibility, with a testing plan to improve future allocation decisions.
I would assess delivery against planned reach and frequency, cost efficiency, audience quality, creative performance, site or app response, and downstream conversion trends. I would also examine incremental lift and marginal returns to determine whether additional spend remains efficient.
I establish a shared briefing process, clear owners, launch timelines, budget trackers, and recurring performance reviews. I communicate decisions and risks early, maintain a central source of truth, and ensure every partner understands the objective, measurement plan, and next actions.
