Sample interview questions
I would begin by mapping the client's business objectives, customer journey, channel data, and decision cadence. I would combine consistent taxonomy and dashboarding with attribution, incrementality experiments, and MMM where appropriate, ensuring each method answers a distinct decision question. The output would link channel activity to outcomes such as incremental acquisition, revenue, customer quality, and lifetime value.
I would explain that last-click reporting assigns all credit to the final visible interaction, even when earlier marketing created awareness or consideration. I would use a simple customer-journey example and contrast it with evidence from controlled tests or modelled measurement. I would then recommend a practical measurement portfolio rather than positioning one model as a perfect answer.
I would assess existing data assets, reporting processes, client needs, team capabilities, and vendor relationships. I would prioritize a roadmap balancing immediate client-impact opportunities with foundational work such as metric definitions, data governance, scalable dashboards, and training. I would establish measurable milestones, communicate priorities clearly, and deliver early wins that demonstrate value.
I frame the analysis around the business decision rather than the methodology. I summarize the finding in plain language, quantify the expected opportunity and uncertainty, and provide clear actions, owners, and measurement criteria. This approach helps stakeholders move from insight to an accountable decision.
I would tailor practical training to each team's client conversations and decisions, using real examples and reusable playbooks. Workshops would cover interpreting dashboards, asking robust measurement questions, recognizing common attribution pitfalls, and communicating uncertainty honestly. I would reinforce learning through office hours, templates, and coaching on live client work.
