Sample interview questions
How would you build a UKI field marketing plan to increase net-new enterprise pipeline?

I would begin with revenue targets, account segmentation, buying-group insights, and historical funnel performance. I would then create a quarterly integrated plan combining ABM, digital nurture, executive events, partner activity, and deal-acceleration plays, with clear pipeline, conversion, engagement, and ROI targets.

Describe how you would partner with sales leaders on an account-based marketing programme.

I would establish a shared target-account list, define account tiers and buying personas, and agree on campaign objectives and follow-up service levels. Regular pipeline reviews would allow marketing and sales to adjust messaging, tactics, and investment based on engagement and opportunity progression.

What metrics would you use to assess the effectiveness of a field marketing campaign?

I would track target-account engagement, registrations and attendance where relevant, marketing-qualified and sales-accepted leads, influenced and sourced pipeline, opportunity conversion, deal velocity, cost per opportunity, and return on investment. I would also collect qualitative feedback from sales to understand account-level impact.

How have you used Salesforce and Marketo to improve campaign performance?

I use Marketo for segmentation, nurture orchestration, scoring, and programme reporting, while Salesforce provides opportunity, account, and pipeline visibility. Connecting campaign engagement to account and opportunity outcomes makes it possible to identify high-performing tactics and improve follow-up processes.

How would you manage a Field Marketing Specialist while maintaining strategic ownership of the region?

I would set clear objectives, establish an operating cadence, and delegate defined campaign and event responsibilities with measurable outcomes. I would provide coaching through regular reviews, remove blockers, and reserve my own focus for regional strategy, sales alignment, budget decisions, and performance optimization.
