Sample interview questions
I would establish a consistent success framework covering onboarding milestones, product-usage signals, stakeholder mapping, value plans, risk reviews, and executive business reviews. I would segment accounts by complexity and risk, then use regular operating cadences to ensure the team takes proactive action on adoption barriers and renewal risks.
I start with clear expectations and observable outcomes, then tailor coaching to the person's capability and confidence. I use account reviews, call observation, feedback sessions, and development plans to build skills in discovery, technical value articulation, executive communication, and strategic account planning.
I would create a clear incident structure with an accountable owner, agreed customer communication cadence, technical workstream, and executive alignment. I would ensure the customer receives transparent updates and a recovery plan, while leading an internal retrospective afterward to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
They provide the context needed to understand customers' implementation goals, adoption blockers, and business risks. I do not need to replace technical specialists, but I need enough fluency to ask useful questions, connect platform capabilities to outcomes, and help the team engage the right experts quickly.
I would balance commercial, adoption, customer-experience, and operational indicators. Core measures would include product usage and consumption, onboarding completion, account-health trends, renewal and expansion outcomes, customer satisfaction, escalation resolution, team capacity, and progress against OKRs.
