Sample interview questions
I would begin with a detailed intake to define must-have technical skills, certifications, shift requirements, and local-market constraints. I would then combine targeted LinkedIn Recruiter searches, Boolean strings, referrals, relevant trade and technical communities, and an organized follow-up cadence while tracking source effectiveness.
I set clear expectations at the first interaction, provide timely status updates, prepare candidates for every interview stage, and close the loop respectfully with all candidates. I also use templates and ATS workflows to maintain consistency without making communication feel impersonal.
I partner with the hiring manager to translate technical requirements into screening criteria and structured questions. During screens, I validate relevant experience, certifications, troubleshooting examples, safety awareness, schedule fit, and motivation, then provide concise evidence-based feedback to the hiring team.
I maintain accurate candidate stages, disposition reasons, source data, interview feedback, and notes in real time. This improves compliance, creates reliable reporting on funnel conversion and time to fill, and helps identify where process improvements are needed.
I would use intake criteria, market feedback, candidate pipeline data, and structured interview evidence to frame the discussion constructively. My goal would be to clarify trade-offs, align on realistic requirements or compensation, and keep the process moving while preserving the manager's decision ownership.
