Sample interview questions
How would you build a success plan for a new enterprise customer implementing Skillsoft solutions?

I would begin with discovery sessions to understand the customer's workforce priorities, target audiences, executive sponsors, current capability gaps, and success measures. I would then document outcomes, milestones, owners, adoption tactics, risks, and a regular review cadence, aligning the plan with both implementation activity and longer-term value realization.

Describe how you would use adoption and engagement data to demonstrate value to an executive sponsor.

I would combine platform usage, learner engagement, skills progress, and business-context metrics into a concise narrative tied to the sponsor's original objectives. I would highlight trends, explain risks or gaps, recommend specific actions, and quantify progress wherever possible rather than presenting activity data alone.

What signals would make you concerned that an enterprise account is at risk of churn?

Key signals include declining engagement, missed implementation milestones, loss of executive sponsorship, unresolved support issues, limited perceived outcomes, organizational change, and reduced stakeholder participation. I would validate the cause quickly, establish ownership for mitigation actions, and communicate a clear recovery plan with the customer and internal teams.

How do you identify expansion opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach?

I focus first on the customer's stated goals, maturity, adoption patterns, and unmet capability needs. When data and stakeholder conversations reveal a relevant gap, I frame an expansion opportunity as a solution to that business need and partner with the Account Executive on timing, value articulation, and next steps.

How would you manage competing priorities across a portfolio of more than 30 enterprise customers?

I would segment accounts by strategic value, renewal timing, health, adoption maturity, and urgency, then maintain disciplined success plans and operating cadences. I would prioritize material risks and high-impact opportunities, automate routine follow-ups where appropriate, and keep internal stakeholders aligned on ownership and deadlines.

  • Strong executive communication, consulting, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Effective project and stakeholder management, with the ability to prioritize across a complex customer portfolio and operate with clear follow-through.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills that balance data with responsive, independent, and solution-focused action.
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer strategies, platform capabilities, team relationships, and organizational priorities.
