Sample interview questions
I start with a clear account-health framework covering business outcomes, stakeholder alignment, delivery quality, financial performance, and emerging risks. I establish regular executive reviews tied to pipeline and revenue KPIs, then identify gaps where additional channels, analytics, lifecycle programs, or strategic services can create measurable value. Expansion conversations are positioned as solutions to documented business priorities rather than as standalone upsells.
I would first define the ICP, buying committee, funnel stages, sales process, and revenue targets with the client’s marketing and sales leaders. I would map channel activity across awareness, demand capture, nurture, pipeline acceleration, and sales enablement, using CRM and marketing automation data to measure progression. The strategy would combine channel-specific performance goals with shared attribution and pipeline metrics.
I manage profitability through disciplined scope definition, staffing plans, utilization monitoring, forecasts, and early escalation of delivery risks. I review actual effort against contracted hours and expected outcomes regularly, then address scope changes through transparent prioritization or formal change orders. This protects team capacity while ensuring the client understands the value and investment required for additional work.
I focus on the business decision rather than presenting every available metric. I connect channel and funnel data to a concise narrative about performance, drivers, risks, and recommended actions, using pipeline, conversion quality, revenue contribution, and efficiency measures where possible. I tailor the level of detail to the audience while maintaining transparency about attribution limitations and assumptions.
I create alignment around client goals, roles, deadlines, and success metrics at the outset of each initiative. I use a collaborative operating rhythm with clear briefs, decision points, and accountability, while making space for channel experts to shape recommendations. When conflicts arise, I return the conversation to client impact, data, resource constraints, and the agreed strategic priorities.
